Tilted horizon

The idea was born of photography, you know, by chance. Although how many ideas are not born by chance?… It was late night, passing into dawn. We were doing a shoot of rather turbulent river on a fairly wide-angle lens (17 mm at frame size near APS).

Usually when you are making photos at night, you discern very little in the viewfinder, that is why we were forced to navigate on the LCD screen.

For detailed check of the image we usually scale it while watching. This time was not an exception. Examining the level of sharpness and illumination of stones, we suddenly saw an unusual image that is not evident in the wide-angle, and on the whole looked quite trivially.

Despite this commonness , we did not not remember such photos of the quirks of nature, that depicted such reflection (though perhaps we have not seen enough too much landscape photos). We put the focal length 40 mm to hide the top of the trees (which you see reflected in the water) and took a snapshot.
