Here is the church of Alexander Nevsky in Ust-Izhora. At this place in 1240 there was a battle that is now known as the “Battle of the Neva.”
On the day when this image was taken, we without any reason at all decided to test Mamiya 645 with a wide-angle lens (45 mm) in photographing of landscapes.
First of all we were encouraged by beautiful sky, secondly by the presence of new camera lens and finally by photographic film, which had to be finished.
We were pleased by the very process of photographing landscapes on medium format with waist-level finder, but the quality of the final image leaves much to be desired. And you can see image grain and sharpness is not on acceptable level. Therefore, if in future we again decide to photo landscape on photographic film , we will use only large-format camera.
